Building Up

Building Up is a non-profit social purpose contractor serving North York and the rest of Toronto. It takes on renovation work such as energy retrofits, insulation, suite upgrades, extensions, second and third storey top-ups and finished basement suites, and it runs a design and build service backed by a network of professionals. For each project it advises whether drawings and permits are needed, then prepares a quote and contract. The company is a licensed contractor in the City of Toronto, carries the required insurance and WSIB coverage, and gives a one-year warranty on its labour. It also supplies trained labourers to other construction firms and trains people for careers in the trades. 19 Google reviewers give it an average of 4.7 out of 5, with 16 at the top mark.
